Quite some time ago, I decided to give Skittle vodka a try. It requires a bottle of vodka, a one pound bag of skittles, something to store it in, a funnel and paper towels/coffee filters.

Here are the skittles color coded. It’s not so fun to sort and Aimee kept eating them.

I’m not sure why I used mason jars. It’s a bitch to pour because it has such a wide mouth. I only had three too so the other two bottles were empty Snapple bottles. I didn’t really think that far ahead.

After a few hours and some vigorous shaking, you get a cloudy mixture.

Filtering is not so fun. I used two folded paper towels and you can see the gunk it catches.

I transferred the three mason jars to Snapple bottles for consistency’s sake.

Purple was delicious.
